Britney goes to Bollywood

2008 has definitely been a year of extremes for Britney Spears. She started the year being bundled into an ambulance and then sectioned, and ended it filming slushy Christmas home videos with her kids and going to bed at 9pm every night.
Now it looks like she’s capped off her turbulent year by falling head over heels in love with a Bollywood dance instructor named Sandip Soparrkar. Today’s Daily Mirror even alleges that Brit popped over to Jodhpur - the Indian capital of posh leggings - for a romantic three-day break with her brand new beau.
“It’s early days but their romance is going from strength to strength,” whispered an insider. “Sandip is very down to earth and keeps Britney grounded. He’s also quite spiritual and sensitive, which is a side of him she adores.”
The smitten pair met at a swanky party thrown by Brit’s pal Madonna earlier in the year. Since then Sandip has worked on the choreography for La Spears’ ‘Womanizer’ video. The pair have apparently been inseparable ever since, and even exchanged Christmas presents.
“For Christmas, Sandip – or Sandy as Britney calls him – presented her with a traditional Indian sari. She wore it during a candlelit dinner,” continued the source. “The pair were whispering and giggling all night. Sandy ordered local delicacies including chicken tikka and a cottage cheese curry.”
Aw, it all sounds lovely, doesn’t it? Chicken tikka is our favourite.
